In this article we will discuss why Mailbird may be asking you to purchase another license when you have reached the limit of 3 devices. Please read further if you also want to unregister a device (remove the unwanted device).

As mentioned, you are allowed to install Mailbird on a maximum of 3 devices, so if you try to install Mailbird on a fourth device, you will be shown the pop-up below:

If you don't recall having Mailbird on three devices already, this may be because you previously installed Mailbird on a device which you no longer use, or because you are reinstalling your Mailbird, reformatting your PC, or simply because you have lost access to an old device.

If this is the case, in order to install Mailbird on a new device, you simply need to follow the steps below:

  • First, tick the box next to the text which says 'I understand I will not be able to continue using Mailbird on the other device.'
  • Then, once you have ticked the box, the button below will become clickable (i.e. Register this device).
  • Go ahead and click the button called 'Register this device'

This will mean that Mailbird will no longer be associated with the least used of the three devices it was previously associated with.

Alternatively, if you still need to use Mailbird on all 3 devices it is already installed on, but you also need to install it on an additional device, you can purchase another license easily by clicking on 'Get another license 50% OFF' in the bottom righthand corner of the window.

Hopefully this article has given you the answers you were looking for, but if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Happiness Team - we will always be delighted to offer you all the help you need!
