Swipe to Archive/Move to Inbox

In Mailbird there are many ways to archive emails. One way that is a really cool perk for those on touchscreen machines can enjoy the Swipe feature that allows you to Archive emails in your inbox, or move emails back to your inbox from other folders when swiping using your finger on the touch screen to swipe from left to right.

Mailbird upgraded the software giving a "free preview" of the Pro version as an incentive to get paid for their software - but this version added little of value (IMHO), and broke the coolest feature (again IMHO).

Hi Raimu and Paul - we actually had a significant request for these changes which is why we moved with this decision. Yes the Pro version is our bread and butter and it is very minimal, it's necessary for us to continue developing Mailbird for you so it can be really awesome :)

Thanks for understanding guys! Hang in there - as you can imagine we are getting quite a high influx of requests since 2.0 launched and we will carefully look at each request and the demand for it to help with prioritizing fixes, improvements and feature development.

Drag and Swipe with mouse, was so great feature, emulates Mailbox from my iPhone, why take it down? I don't get it. Please don't take away the nice features that was making people talk about Mailbird!!

Just adding my support for a return of the mouse-swiping -- I really enjoyed being able to archive with a swipe.

Hi Francis, how are you swiping to archive? From your track pad mouse on a laptop or directly on a touchscreen device? We are aware that some mouse track pads (depending on driver and hardware) are not working. We are looking for a solution for this, we found one but it did not display properly. Stay tuned! :)

Yes we disabled the mouse click and drag to swipe emails to archive or move to inbox since we now have drag and drop functionality :) So you can drag a whole email conversation to the left menu, or the navigation pane into any folder you've created.

Will the mouse swipe to archive be re-enabled anytime soon? I found this really useful and easy to use. I don't think that I am the only one who will attest to that.

Hi Bryan, yes we will look at ways to bring it back. Give us some time though as we have a lot of development features in the pipeline  - but would love to also make the touchpad mouse swipe with two fingers an option again once we can find the solution for the different mouse drivers on different machine types :)

Hang in there guys! Lots of things to come with the current influx of requests and reports since Mailbird 2.0 launched. Exciting!

I'm a mouse user myself and find it frustrating that the mouse swipe has been disabled for 2.0. It's one of the features I fell in love with in regard to Mailbird. Please bring it back. Drag and drop isn't *that* hot.

Hi Raimu, you can still use the action bar that appears when you hover your mouse pointer over a profile pic of a contact. So you use the mouse to point and click on the actions you want :)

I realize this, and also that there are keyboard shortcuts, but as my user experience it's not nearly as convenient. It feels a lot like with M 2.0 'm getting a substantially different software than I subscribed to and it's a little disheartening.

+1 for bringing it back, it was so comfy when I was able to do this with my mouse. Even drag & drop cannot replace it.

I am using a mouse to swipe to archive to a laptop. It worked when I first installed, ( I think ) stopped working when the side panel started off.
