In this article, we will explain how to use Mailbird's Snooze functionality, and also detail some scenarios where you might find it to be a useful asset when managing your emails.
Mailbird's Snooze feature allows you organize your inbox more effectively, in order reach 'inbox zero' easily and to consequently increase your productivity. A Snooze works by making an email disappear from your inbox, and making it reappear again at a later time or date which you will be able to decide.
Below are some examples of when snoozing an email might be appropriate:
- To make sure that you are focusing on getting your tasks done - certain emails may get in the way of the work which you're doing, and therefore snoozing them for later is often the best course of action.
- Follow up with a person - perhaps you sent out an email to a contact and you want to make sure that you don't forget to follow up with that person. Simply snooze the email which you sent so that you are reminded of it later.
- Important dates - some people prefer to snooze specific emails which will remind them of important events, such as birthdays, webinars, or anything else at all.
Here are three simple ways in which you can use Mailbird's Snooze feature:
- One way involves right-clicking on an email and selecting the Snooze option from the menu which appears.
- You will then be asked when you would like the email to be 'unsnoozed' so that it reappears in your inbox.
- Another way involves hovering your mouse over the avatar of the email's sender, and then selecting the Snooze icon (i.e. the clock icon, as shown below).
- Finally, you can hit Z on your keyboard, and then select the time when you would like the email to be 'unsnoozed'.
