Moving Mailbird between devices is very simple!
All you need to do is make a copy of the Mailbird folder containing all your settings and accounts on the source device (i.e. your existing PC or laptop), and copy it over to the destination device (i.e. your new PC or laptop). Here is how you can find your Mailbird data folder:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard and then type in the letters run. Press Enter to open the Run window.
- Alternatively, your can press the Windows key + R to open Run window.
- Once the Run is open, type in appdata and press the OK button

- This should open the AppData folder - please open the Local folder situated in the AppData folder and then locate another folder in there called Mailbird.
- Make a copy of the Mailbird folder to a safe location (e.g. on a USB stick).
- Please ensure you have completely exited and closed down the Mailbird app before copying.
You may need to use the Task Manager (i.e. press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC keys together) to fully terminate the Mailbird app. If you don't close the Mailbird app first, then your copy of AppData/Local/Mailbird will not be correct and Mailbird will erase the existing data.
Next, install Mailbird on your new device, but please ensure that it is not launched or active after it has been installed - if the Mailbird app is running on your new device, please fully close it before proceeding.
The last step involves going to the same location as before on your new device (i.e. AppData/Local/Mailbird) by following all of the same steps which are outlined above, and then paste/overwrite the existing Mailbird folder with the copy that you have previously created and saved on a USB stick.
And that's it! You can open and use Mailbird on your new PC with all your existing settings and emails!
