Mailbird offers a uniquely simple way to compose an email - if you would like to quickly compose an email in Mailbird (regardless of which section of Mailbird you find yourself in), you can rely on our handy Compose Shortcut.

Hit Ctrl + Alt + Space, and the Mailbird Compose window will be brought up in front of you.

It's important to note that you can also change which combination of keyboard keys will trigger this action. Here's how:

1. Open the Mailbird menu in the top lefthand corner (i.e. the three horizontal lines).
2. Click on Settings.
3. Navigate to the Composing tab.
4. Here, you can edit the shortcut for this action to whatever suits you best.
