Are you installing Mailbird through a firewall?
In order to install Mailbird with a firewall, you must change your firewall settings so that they allow the Mailbird installer to run (a process called 'whitelisting'), or temporarily disable your firewall while Mailbird installs, which is what we strongly recommend.
