πŸ“¨ Can I Transfer Mailbird and Its Settings to Another PC?

Yes, you can! Transferring Mailbird and all its settings to a new device is quick and easy. By copying the Mailbird folder from your current PC to your new one, you can retain all your emails, accounts, and preferences.

Simply follow the steps below to complete the transfer successfully.

πŸ’Ύ Step 1: Locate the Mailbird Folder on Your Current PC

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type run, then press Enter.

    • Alternatively, press Windows + R to open the Run window.

  2. In the Run window, type appdata and click OK.

  3. In the File Explorer window that opens, navigate to the Local folder.

  4. Locate the Mailbird folder.

πŸ“ Step 2: Copy the Mailbird Folder

  1. Make a copy of the Mailbird folder and save it to a safe location (e.g. a USB stick or external hard drive).

  2. Ensure that Mailbird is completely closed before copying:

    • Open Task Manager by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC.

    • End any Mailbird-related background processes.

⚠️ Important: If Mailbird is running during the copy process, the data may not transfer correctly.

πŸ–₯️ Step 3: Prepare Your New PC

  1. Install Mailbird on your new device.

  2. Do not launch Mailbird after installation.

    • If it opens automatically, close it completely before proceeding using Task Manager (as described above).

πŸ“‚ Step 4: Paste the Folder on the New PC

  1. Repeat the same steps to open the AppData > Local folder on your new PC.

  2. Paste (and overwrite) the existing Mailbird folder with the one you copied from your old PC to a USB stick or an external hard drive.

βœ… All Set!

You can now open Mailbird on your new computer, and all your settings, emails, and accounts should appear just as they did on your previous device.
