📇 Contact Details in the Contacts App

One of the most useful features of our Contacts app is the Contact Details area. In fact, it includes a variety of information.

To view a contact's information, start by clicking on a contact's profile in the Contacts List (i.e. the blue area in the image below). Once you've selected a contact from the Contact List, their details will appear in the Contact Details area (i.e. the red area highlighted below).

🔍 Breakdown of the Contact Details Area

Here's a in-depth overview of the Contact Detail area and its features:

  1. Linked Account Selector

This option appears only when the selected contact is linked to multiple groups. By clicking the selector button above the contact's photo, you can choose which version of the contact to view or edit.

If you select the Unified Contact, you’ll see a combined view of all details from every linked group. Please note that any changes you make to the unified version will automatically apply to all linked profiles of that contact.

  2. Edit Options Button
Use this button to modify all details for a contact. After you've clicked Edit, you will also be able to select the â€śShow all fields” option in order to use even more fields (as shown below).
You can also make use of the dropdown menu next to Edit. This will allow you to:

    • Link contact: Connects two or more contacts.

    • Merge contact: Combines multiple contacts into one.

      • Find out more here about how to link or merge contacts.

  3. Groups List
Shows any groups the contact belongs to, below the contact's photo.

    • Click the + button to add or copy the contact to another group.

    • To remove the contact from a group, hover over the group and click the X in the top-right corner.

    • Adding a contact to a group will automatically link contacts belonging to that group.

  4. Contact Overview
This section displays the contact's avatar, name, job title, company name, and other basic details.
  5. Additional Contact Information
Includes additional fields such as address, email address, phone number, website, and others.
