Mailbird offers all of its customers the ability to easily tag one of their contacts when composing an email. Tagging is the process of automatically adding a contact to the list of recipients of an email by typing the '@' symbol followed by the name of one of your contacts inside the body of an email.
When you tag a contact in an email, it's important to note that the contact will be added in the To field of your email only if it does not already contain a recipient. If this field already contains a recipient, then after you have tagged a contact in your email their details will appear in the CC field instead.
Below is an example which shows a contact being added to the To field after being tagged in an email.
In order to enable or disable tagging in Mailbird, simply follow the steps below:
- Open the Mailbird menu in the top lefthand corner (i.e. the three horizontal lines).
- Click on Settings.
- Navigate to the Composing tab.
- Here, you can apply or remove a checkmark to the box next to Auto-add recipients when @ tagging.
