When you delete an email in Mailbird, it’s first moved to your Trash folder. This is a temporary location that allows you to recover messages in case you delete something by mistake.
However, if you’re certain you no longer need specific emails — or you simply want to free up storage space — you can choose to permanently delete them from your Trash folder.

⚙️ How to Permanently Delete Individual Emails
If you only wish to remove specific messages from your Trash folder:

Navigate to your Trash folder in Mailbird.
You’ll see all the emails that were previously deleted but not yet removed permanently.
Right-click on the message you want to erase forever.
From the menu that appears, select Delete Forever.
Once you confirm this action, the email will be permanently deleted — it will not be recoverable.

🧹 How to Empty the Entire Trash Folder
If you prefer a clean slate, you can empty the Trash folder all at once:
Open the Trash folder in Mailbird.
Click the three dots button (â‹®) located at the top right of the message list pane.
Select Empty Folder from the dropdown menu.
All emails in the Trash folder will be permanently deleted in one go.

⚠️ Important Note
Once emails have been deleted forever, they cannot be recovered — not from Mailbird, and not from your email provider’s server.
