📁 Organize Your Inbox with Folders in Mailbird
Using folders in Mailbird is one of the most effective ways to keep your inbox clean, structured, and easy to navigate. Whether you're managing one account or multiple, folders help you archive emails, reduce clutter, and quickly find what you need.
⚙️ How to Set Up Folders
Follow these steps to create and manage folders:
- Click the Mailbird menu (☰) in the top-left corner of the main window.
- Select Settings.
- Go to the Folders tab.
From here, you can:
- ➕ Add new folders
- ✏️ Edit existing folders
- ❌ Remove folders you no longer need
You can also create nested folders (sub-folders within a parent folder) to build a more detailed structure.
🎨 Customize Folder Colors
Make your folders easier to recognize at a glance by assigning colors:
- Click the color box next to any folder name
- Choose a color that works for your workflow
This is especially useful if you manage multiple projects or accounts.
🔄 Sync Your Changes
Once you've finished setting up your folders:
- Click “Sync with server” to apply and save your changes
📥 Move Emails into Folders
After creating your folders, you can quickly organize your emails:
- Press “V” on your keyboard to move a selected email
or - Click the “+” icon in the top-right corner of an email
Then simply choose the folder you want.
