📦 What Is In-Place Archive?
Outlook’s In-Place Archive (also known as Online Archive) is a Microsoft 365 feature that provides users with a separate, searchable mailbox for storing older emails.
Its main purpose is to help free up space in your primary mailbox. In both Outlook and Outlook Webmail, the archive appears as a separate mailbox located below the main account.
We’ve made Mailbird fully compatible with Outlook’s In-Place Archive. You can now access and manage your archived emails directly within the Mailbird interface by enabling the relevant app integration.
🛠Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Mailbird on your Windows device.
Click on the Apps icon near the bottom left-hand corner of Mailbird (i.e. the square formed of nine dots).
Scroll through the list of available apps and locate Outlook In-Place Archive.
Apply a checkmark next to the app in order to enable it and start benefitting from this feature.
Exit the Apps menu.
Once enabled, the app’s icon will appear in your Mailbird sidebar. Click it to open Outlook within Mailbird and begin using the In-Place Archive feature seamlessly.
💡 If you move emails into the In-Place archive via Outlook or Outlook webmail, but this isn't reflected in Mailbird while using the Outlook In-Place Archive app, simply hit the sync button and the emails will also appears in the In-Place archive while using Mailbird.
