📤 Introduction

To export emails from your POP3 or IMAP accounts in Mailbird, you can use our Export Tool, which is specifically designed for this purpose.

The tool allows you to:

  • Export emails to .eml files
  • Upload emails directly to an IMAP server

💡 Recommendation

We generally recommend exporting to .eml files, as this method is significantly faster and more reliable.

⚠️ Before You Begin

Before starting the export process, we strongly recommend backing up your Mailbird database to prevent any potential data loss. Please refer to our backup guide here for step-by-step instructions before proceeding.

⬇️ Download and Launch the Export Tool

  1. Download the Export Tool to your device from here.
  2. Extract the downloaded .zip file.
  3. Run the file MailbirdBackupTool.exe.

Once launched, you’ll see the Export Tool interface and can begin the process.
