Deleting emails
There may be occasions where archiving an email isn't enough - in these case, deleting an email is the best way forward for you. Mailbird can offer different ways of doing this, and in this article we will take a look at them so that you can find the most suitable approach for your needs.
Ways to delete emails
Here are the different ways in which you can delete an email:
- You can delete an email by right clicking on the email in the Message List pane, and then clicking on 'Trash', or even by using the '#' keyboard shortcut which will move the email to your Trash folder.
- You can also delete an email by using the 'Scroll Action Bar' which appears whenever you move your mouse cursor over the profile picture or avatar of any email conversation. Simply click on the Trash icon when it appears to delete the email or conversation.
- One other way, is by using the keyboard shortcuts to delete emails by going to the top left 'Mailbird dropdown menu' in the main window, and then selecting 'Shortcuts'.
- You can also hit Shift + ? and this will pull up all the list of shortcuts available. Search for Delete to find all keyboard shortcuts associated with deleting an email or conversation in Mailbird.
