Introduction
Mailbird is proud to offer its customers a long-awaited feature that will help everyone considerably when managing multiple email accounts. We have called it the Unified Inbox!
You can find the Unified Inbox in the top left part of your Mailbird window, but please note that the Unified Inbox will only appear if you add more than one email account in Mailbird.
What's a Unified Inbox?
Not only is the Unified inbox similar to what you might have seen in other email clients, where all your inbox messages from all of your email accounts are visible in the same folder - it's also a totally unified account, which contains all messages from all system folders from all accounts.
This means that instead of switching back and forth between email accounts in order to view your inbox messages, drafts, sent messages, archived messages, etc., you can now do it all from the Unified Inbox.
Naturally, you can choose which accounts to include within the Unified Inbox (as shown below), since you may wish to exclude some of them for your own personal reasons.
The Unified Inbox will also be able to automatically keep track of which email account an email was sent to, so that you can then reply from the correct email account. You can even search for messages among all of your accounts at the same time!
In order to enable or disable your Unified Inbox, simply follow these steps below:
- Open the Mailbird menu in the top left hand corner (i.e. the three horizontal lines).
- Click on Settings.
- Navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Here, you can apply or remove a checkmark next to Enable unified account.
If you would like to view your Unified Account instead of your default account when Mailbird starts, you can also configure this from the list of options, as shown below.
