đźš« Spam Filtering in Mailbird
Mailbird does not include a built-in (native) spam filter. Instead, it relies entirely on your email provider’s filtering system.
This means:
- If your provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) marks an email as spam, it will also appear as spam in Mailbird.
- If it reaches your inbox, Mailbird will display it there as well.
If you’d like to see a native spam filter added in the future, you can submit or vote for this feature on our Feature Upvote board.
â›” Block Unwanted Senders
Mailbird includes a Block Sender feature, allowing you to stop receiving emails from specific senders directly within the app.
This is a quick and effective way to reduce unwanted messages without relying solely on your provider’s spam filter.
For detailed instructions, please refer to this dedicated article on how to use this feature.
⚙️ Use Filters and Rules
You can also manage unwanted emails by setting up filters or rules within Mailbird.
These can automatically:
- Move emails to specific folders
- Archive or delete messages
- Organize incoming mail based on conditions
